This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data when you use the Services (website, applications and related tools). It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy. Our target market is international.

We may collect:

• Account and profile information (name, email, organisation, role, billing details);
• Artwork and inventory data you upload (images, titles, provenance, pricing, condition notes);
• Client / collector contact and relationship data you enter;
• Transaction and invoicing data generated through the platform;
• Technical and usage data (IP address, device information, browser type, pages viewed, log data, cookies and similar technologies);
• Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback).

We may process sensitive commercial data (high-value client lists, financial information). You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to upload any personal data of third parties (clients, collectors, artists).

We use personal data to:

• provide, maintain, secure and improve the Services;
• process subscriptions, transaction fees and payments;
• communicate with you (service notices, support, product updates);
• analyse how the Services are used so we can improve performance, features and user experience;
• measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising (including through advertising partners);
• conduct research to improve the platform;
• use artwork images and related data (in accordance with the licence in the Terms of Service) for Arttaca's media arm, marketing, case studies, advertising and promotional materials;
• comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

Depending on jurisdiction, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests (platform operation, security, improvement, analytics, marketing of our own services), consent (where required for certain uses, non-essential cookies or advertising), and legal obligation.

We may share data with:

• service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal, email delivery, analytics and advertising tools) under appropriate contracts;
• analytics and advertising partners (including Google and Meta) so that we can understand usage and deliver relevant advertising, subject to their own privacy policies and any consent requirements;
• professional advisers and authorities when required by law or to protect rights;
• a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (with notice where required).

We do not sell personal data. Content shared by you via Private Views is visible only to the persons you invite.

Data may be processed in Hong Kong and in other countries where our service providers operate (including the United States and other locations used by Google, Meta and similar providers). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. After account closure we may retain limited data for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request export or deletion of your inventory and client data as described in the Terms of Service.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. However, no system is completely secure. As stated in the Terms of Service, Arttaca's liability for security incidents (including malicious hacks or compromises arising from user credentials or systems) is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise rights, contact support@arttaca.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority.

We use cookies and similar technologies (including pixels, tags and local storage) for essential platform functions, analytics and (where permitted) marketing and advertising. Full details are set out in our Cookie Policy.

In particular, we may use:

• Google Analytics (or similar analytics tools) to understand how visitors and users interact with the Services (pages viewed, time spent, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, and similar usage data). This helps us improve the platform.
• Meta Pixel (and similar advertising pixels) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, understand actions taken on our site after ads are shown, and (where permitted) deliver more relevant advertising on Meta platforms and elsewhere.

These tools may set cookies or read identifiers on your device and may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required by law (for example for users in the EEA/UK), we will seek your consent before placing non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. You can manage preferences through your browser settings, our cookie preference tool (when available), or the opt-out mechanisms provided by Google and Meta.

The Services are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
